INTERGRAPH PDS COURSES OFFERED BY THE SOCIETY OF PIPING ENGINEERS AND DESIGNERS (SPED)

Intergraph PDS-I

  • 36 hour course.
  • Uses latest software release, PDS 6.4.1
  • Topics to be covered include:
  • Overview of PDS.
  • Equipment modeling using primitives, parametrics, and nozzle manipulations.
  • Piping modeling fundamentals
  • Hands on training in building 3-D plant design models.
  • Course will be taught by an expert in the use of PDS with years of experience in teaching PDS classes.
  • Classes will be on weekday evenings from 6-9 p.m. and will be held at the University of Houston-Downtown at One Main Street, Houston, Texas.
  • Cost: $600 for SPED members and $700 for non-members.
  • Next course will be start on October 17, 2000.

Intergraph PDS-II

  • 36 hour course.
  • Uses latest software release, PDS 6.4.1
  • Topics to be covered include:
  • Advanced piping modeling.
  • Placing instruments, specialty items and pipe supports.
  • Revision commands.
  • Drawing Manager: Creation of orthographic drawings and annotations.
  • Course will be taught by an expert in the use of PDS with years of experience in teaching PDS classes.
  • Classes will be on weekday evenings from 6-9 p.m. and will be held at the University of Houston-Downtown at One Main Street, Houston, Texas.
  • Cost: $600 for SPED members and $700 for non-members.
  • Next course will be start on October 30, 2000.
  • A subsequent course is scheduled to begin on December 11,2000.

Intergraph PDS III

  • 36 hour course.
  • Uses latest software release, PDS 6.4.1
  • Topics to be covered include:
  • NT 4.0 for users
  • Project administration
  • P & ID to piping data transfer
  • Pipe support modeler
  • RDB revision management
  • Advanced PDS placement/revision management
  • Piping data manager
  • Report manager
  • Interference manager
  • Course will be taught by an expert in the use of PDS with years of experience in teaching PDS classes.
  • Classes will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9 p.m. and will be held at the University of Houston-Downtown at One Main Street, Houston, Texas.
  • Cost: $600 for SPED members and $700 for non-members.
  • Next course will be start on January 23, 2001.
