Meridian Project Systems Realizes Substantial Growth in 2000 MPS shows significant revenue and ProjectTalk.com membership growth

(SACRAMENTO, CA, January 4, 2001) - Meridian Project Systems (MPS) announced today that it has completed another year of substantial growth. MPS closed out 2000 with approximately $12 million in revenue, verses $9.2 million in 1999, a 30 percent increase. Additionally, MPS launched ProjectTalk.com, an online application service provider, in June 2000. To date, ProjectTalk has more than 2,300 members - surpassing the initial forecast of 2,000. Meridian Project Systems is a pre-IPO project management ASP and software solutions provider for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.

"The year 2000 proved to be a very exciting and remarkable year for MPS," says John Bodrozic, president and co-founder of MPS. "We entered the year with more than 200 well funded dot-com startups as competitors and ended the year with nearly all of them on the ropes or out of business. Now that we have survived the onslaught of dot-com marketing spending and have successfully launched ProjectTalk, our own Internet service, we can shift more resources to R&D, which brings the greatest long-term value to our customers and the company. Of particular focus for 2001 will be the development and deployment of B2B e-Commerce services at ProjectTalk."

"2001 will be a very different year for MPS with the fall out of most of our competitors," says Al Marshall, MPS vice president of sales and marketing. "We attended more than 45 tradeshows last year and invested heavily in all other areas of marketing. As we retool for 2001, we can shift more of those investments to areas that better serve our customers."
