AAA Technology announces sale of the Engineering Software Division to
PipingSolutions, Inc.
September 8, 1999, 1999 Houston, TX. - AAA Technology & Specialties Co., Inc. (AAA Technology) today announced that its Engineering Software Division was sold to PipingSolutions, Inc. The Engineering Software Division of AAA Technology was responsible for all piping and equipment engineering software, including the industry standard TRIFLEX® Piping System Analysis and Design Program. The related consulting and training services have also been sold to PipingSolutions. AAA Technology will retain its existing pipe support design and fabrication business including the EQUAL® series of engineered variable spring hangers and the EQUALBALANCE® series of engineered constant effort spring hangers. Reid P. McNally, Jr., P.E., President of both AAA Technology and PipingSolutions, said, "We believe that only the highest levels of support and resources can complement today's busy engineer with multiple responsibilities. A separate organization devoted to our advanced suite of piping and equipment design software will better serve our customers. PipingSolutions, Inc. will focus exclusively on our engineering software customers' needs, leaving AAA Technology to focus on our pipe support design and fabrication customers."
