Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals
Business Editors PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 1999--Broadreach Consulting, Inc., a leading provider of eBusiness solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, today announced the completion of the first phases of a comprehensive customer service Web site for Rhone-Poulenc Rorer (RPR) Pharmaceuticals. RPR selected Broadreach to map out its Internet strategy for customer services and build its e-Commerce foundation. Working with RPR's internal Internet and customer service teams, Broadreach quickly identified customer service as an area of strategic focus to increase RPR's competitive differentiation. RPR needed a collaborative information-sharing area to provide product information, application news and consumer updates, and to view and respond to frequently asked support questions. "RPR wants to be the easiest pharmaceutical company to do business with and now our Web site provides our customers secure access to real-time account information 24 hours a day, detailed product data, and frequent updates online," says Jeff Jagiela, Director of Customer Services, Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals. "We were impressed with the technological savvy of Broadreach's consultants in helping us realize the benefits of e-Commerce so quickly." Broadreach outlined a multi-phase strategy for the implementation of Internet technologies from a simple Web presence to true e-Commerce. The customer service Web site includes features such as organization charts, news and updates, client "push" technologies to provide updates to users, and detailed product data online. These features will strengthen relationships with RPR's trade customers, partners, suppliers, and distributors. Improved customer relations results in tighter business partnerships and fosters the development of new services. "We wanted to help RPR get value for their money. With their Web foundation in place, they'll always have the ability to make additions," says Jim Dixon, chief executive officer at Broadreach Consulting. "RPR's customer service site increases their competitive differentiation. The Web-enablement phase will allow RPR's customers the convenience of accessing their account information online or through a customer service representative."
