Fisher-Rosemount announces AMS Calculator Capability

Philadelphia, PA (October 1, 1999) -- Fisher-Rosemount, a manufacturer of equipment, systems, and services for process manufacturers, announced today that it has created an electronic tool to aid customers in calculating savings and accuracy using the Asset Management Solutions (AMS) software.

The AMS Calculator is an electronic tool that enables potential customers to build a model of their process operations using real company data. The Calculator can be used to determine a customer's immediate time savings and anticipated costs when AMS is installed in their facility.

When evaluating the AMS products for their plant, users can input a few variables into the Calculator to see estimated time savings and cost savings information. The Calculator can be accessed from the www.assetweb.com site.

Cost savings result from using the AMS software for routine tasks such as reconfiguring devices, performing diagnostics and tests, calibration management and troubleshooting devices during installation, all areas where AMS has shown significant savings in process manufacturing facilities in a variety of industries. In addition, AMS automates the process and records data about all these activities in its Audit Trail. AMS also includes a number of powerful AMS SNAP-ON advanced applications.
